چکیده

Voltage Sag is one of the Power Quality problem and it become severe to industrial customers. Voltage sag causes miss operation to several sensitive equipments. This problem can be mitigating with the Dynamic Voltage Restorer. DVR is a solid state device which is connected in series between the source and load voltages. In this Dynamic Voltage Restorer is implemented using Capacitor Clamped Multilevel Inverter with Phase Disposition Pulse Width Modulation. There are various modulation technique are available in multilevel inverter. In the PDPWM technique the carrier amplitude is increased and compared with the original signal to generate the pulse. The voltage sag/swell problem can be rectified by DVR. The main aim is to improve the power quality of load voltage. Keywords-Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR), Phase Disposition PWM, DCMLI

An Improved PDPWM for a Modular Multilevel Inverter used for Micro Grid

This modulation method is based on selective virtual loop mapping, to achieve dynamic capacitor voltage balance without the help of an extra compensation signal. The concept of virtual sub module (VSM) is first established, and by changing the loop mapping relationships between the VSMs and the real submodules, the voltages of the upper/lower arm’s capacitors can be well balanced. This method d...
